Rice & Carry is a social enterprise located on the east coast of Sri Lanka. They recycle rice bags and waste fabric to create bags and accessories, diverting these materials from landfills and extending their lifecycle. Each piece is handmade by female artisans from rural villages, who are trained to become skilled seamstresses and earn fair wages.

This bag is crafted from recycled sari fabric and lined with their own Fair Trade handloom cotton. It has a long adjustable shoulder strap and short handles. Adjustable fittings are made from Rice & Carry’s own plastic recycling workshop in matching colours.
